The Avalanches - Since I Left You (Cornelius...
Did you know this existed? Yeah, me neither! And it’s good! Apparently there’s a Stereolab mix too, which I’ll definitely be tracking down now. There’s also a bunch of rad unreleases tracks and mixes up the Avalanches site, including a free download of their debut 7” from 1997. 1997? I had no idea these guys had been around that long.

Nonesuch Records →
Totally gorgeous redesign at Nonesuch. This is now one of the best record label sites I have ever seen.
Lone "Lemurian" @ Last.fm →
Some nice Boards of Canada meets J. Dilla beats here. Seriously, it’s like this person set out to achieve exactly that description, and they’ve definitely pulled it off. Nothing too groundbreaking, but enjoyable nonetheless. Also, the cover art is truly godawful.

One of the coolest ways to find new (old) music that I’ve found to date. Last.fm is another. And Rhapsody’s Channels feature is generally not bad either (above...

Señor Coconut vs. Daft Punk
You really just can’t go wrong with these elements, and this song doesn’t. Interesting how it brings out what feels like a pre-existing Latin element, specifically with all the syncopation between the various (awesome) melodic elements. My only complaint is this should really be about ten minutes longer. Oh, and in case it needs saying, Uwe Scmidt is a genius.
