A preview of the new Super Mario Bros. for Wii featuring a return to the side-scrolling format and some awesome 4-player action.
Oh HELL YES. This is exactly what Nintendo should be doing with Mario right now. I’m sure I’m not alone in thinking Mario World was the pinacle of the series so far [ed note: this may be the nerdiest half-sentence ever on this blog… and that’s saying something], and I bet there a lot of people who would totally get back on the Mario train if the new games didn’t look incredibly confusing. This looks like another example of Nintendo stepping back from the bigger, faster, more 3D gaming cycle, and thinking about what people actually want. Sort of like they did with the Wii.
