Access to technology ≠ access to actual creative skill - marathonpacks

Eric Harvey is totally right on. I have so much animosity for tech people who get all excited about technology, but seem entirely indifferent to the quality of art. It’s just a lot of assholes eager to bury the signal amid unprecedented levels of noise, because “yay democratization!” is a convenient way of putting a happy face on a paradigm shift that favors tech companies and literally devalues art and artists. (via perpetua)

Matthew Perpetua is right on. We’re at the point where the people who manufacture the hammers and nails are rewarded with billion$, while the people who can actually design and build the houses are increasingly marginalized and devalued.

Matthew Perpetua AND Ryan Catbird AND Eric Harvey are all totally right on.  Seriously, I’m not sure what else to add except “ditto.”  Thanks guys.
