When you listen to a zillion albums a year, artists that have an interesting “thing” or some buzz around them tend to stand out, but remember when you’d listen to the same song over and over again? Maybe even sing along to all the words? And it would actually, like, emotionally resonate with you, perhaps in a way that would embarrass you two or three years later? Yeah, I like music that does that.
