Blitzen Trapper - “Furr”
Thanks to a submission from Josh Abe, Tuneage has noticed another glaring oversight. This time it’s Blitzen Trapper’s “Furr”, from the album with the same name, and even we’re surprised we missed this one. Josh describes Blitzen Trapper’s Furr by saying, “the whole album is great, but the title track is pure magic and sex”. And while that’s clearly hyperbole, he’s right: the quasi-Americana/folk/alt-country feeling song has a timelessness to it that you don’t hear much these days, and that magic makes it just right for a Thursday afternoon.
Seeing as I’ve never actually posted this wonderful piece of music by the wonderful band I manage, I’ll just go ahead and reblog this. It really is special. BT was just here for a couple days, playing the Filmore with Fleet Foxes and generally hanging out; I’ll post some photos soon hopefully. Thanks to Tuneage for spreading the word.
