Inside David Foster Wallace's Private Self-Help Library | The Awl →

In this way, Sally Foster Wallace and her son shared a sensibility so exactly alike that it seems to vibrate between them like a tuning fork.

This is sort of a random quote to excerpt here, but I’m trying to avoid spoilers, and it gives you a pretty good idea of the quality of the writing. This is a great, sad, thought-provoking read, with lots to say about depression, family, and being a person. Recommended.

The Sartorialist: Sartorialist #1 - Earl Schuman
My Dad was the #1 fan of this blog. Everyday he looked at the new posts and would read every comment.
The Sartorialist marks the passing of his dad. Given all the warmth and humanity that comes through in this guy’s blog, it’s not all surprising that his dad was great too. Very moving.
