From 1906 to 1934, municipal worker Eugene de Salignac took thousands of incredible photos of Manhattan as the city was reborn as a modern metropolis. Through his remarkable images, he documented the creation of the city’s urban structure and infrastructure that make New York the metropolitan capital it is today.Exposures / Eugene de Salignac Exhibition

This is the new Italian-made toothbrush I bought on my New York trip. I really love the way it looks, even if those bristles are a little on the hard — or should I say duro — side.

Eat Me: The Food and Philosophy of Kenny Shopsin
I stumbled on this book over the weekend, and really fell in love with the design and photos, and the restuarant itself looks really cool. Thinking I might need to stop by when I’m in New York this weekend. Has anyone been? Also, this is the website for the guy who took the photos. It seems he also does some really nice, bold design work. Tamara Shopsin also worked on the book, and also does really nice work. Also, check out their awesome online store — bacon scarves, anyone? YUM!
